So you're checking out our privacy stuff - smart move. We've been designing buildings in Toronto for years now, and honestly, we treat your personal info the same way we'd treat blueprints for a heritage restoration project: with care, respect, and a whole lot of attention to detail.
This isn't some cookie-cutter policy written by robots. It's how we actually handle things around here at 1425 Bloor Street West. If something doesn't make sense or you wanna chat about it, just give us a ring at (416) 555-0847.
When you reach out about a residential project or need some urban planning advice, we'll ask for basics - your name, email, phone number, maybe your address if we're doing a site visit. That's pretty much it for starters.
Can't really design you a contemporary home or work on commercial building plans without knowing who you are, right? We use your contact details to send project updates, schedule meetings, and keep the whole design process running smooth.
Here's the deal - we're not selling your email to random marketing lists or anything sketchy like that. We use what you give us for actual work stuff:
Yeah, we use cookies - not the chocolate chip kind though. Our website drops some basic tracking cookies to see which pages folks are checking out, how long they're hanging around, that sort of thing. Helps us figure out if people care more about our commercial projects or residential work.
You can disable cookies in your browser if that bugs you. The site'll still work fine, we just won't know you've been there multiple times drooling over that modern living space we did in Yorkville.
Real talk - we don't just hand out your info like business cards at a conference. But there's some situations where we might need to share it:
Structural engineers, contractors, and other pros we work with on your project. They need context to do their jobs right.
If Canadian law says we gotta hand something over, well, we're gonna follow the law. That's just being responsible business owners.
Our email hosting, cloud storage for drawings, accounting software - these tools need access to do what they do.
We're pretty paranoid about security, honestly. All client files are encrypted, our office network's locked down tighter than a bank vault, and we don't leave project docs sitting around where anyone can grab 'em.
Our computers have password protection, we use secure file transfer for sending plans back and forth, and we regularly backup everything to secure Canadian servers. Not gonna lie though - nothing's 100% hack-proof these days, but we're doing everything reasonable to keep your stuff safe.
It's your info, so you've got options:
Shoot us an email at info@vinamynrquintalx.info or call (416) 555-0847 to make any of this happen.
For active projects - obviously we keep everything while we're working together. After a project wraps up, we hang onto the files for about 7 years. That's partly because the architectural association requires it, and partly 'cause sometimes clients come back years later wanting additions or renovations.
If you just filled out a contact form but never moved forward with a project, we'll probably delete that after a year or so unless you've asked us to keep you posted about our work.
Sometimes we link to other sites - maybe a supplier's website, a manufacturer's product page, or a news article about sustainable building. Once you click away from our site, their privacy policies take over. We can't control what they do, so you might wanna check their policies too if you're concerned.
Look, privacy laws change, technology evolves, and sometimes we adjust how we do things. If we make any big changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and probably send existing clients a heads-up email.
We're not gonna pull any fast ones - if something major changes, you'll know about it.
Seriously, if any of this privacy stuff is confusing or you've got specific concerns about how we handle your information, don't be shy. We'd way rather have a conversation than have you wondering.
Vina Mynr Quintal Architectural Domains operates in compliance with Canadian privacy legislation including PIPEDA. We respect your privacy and take our responsibility as data custodians seriously.
